Energy infrastructure that is executable and financeable.

Our Company

Developer & investment platform

BT Energies is a Canadian energy and infrastructure development company focused on building, investing in, and advancing projects that support the transition toward a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy system.

With offices in Toronto, we focus primarily on opportunities across Ontario and British Columbia — two of Canada's most dynamic markets for power infrastructure, energy storage, waste management, and digital infrastructure development.

Our core areas of focus include waste-to-energy, biomass power generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and energy-intensive data centre projects. We identify projects with strong underlying fundamentals and work to bring together the key elements required for successful development, including site control, permitting, engineering, technology, power strategy, commercial partnerships, project financing, and capital.

BT Energies operates as both a project developer and an investment platform. Our objective is to originate and structure high-quality infrastructure opportunities and connect them with institutional, strategic, and private capital seeking long-term exposure to the Canadian energy and infrastructure markets.

As electricity demand continues to grow and Canada invests in grid modernization, energy security, waste diversion, and digital infrastructure, BT Energies is building a diversified pipeline of projects positioned at the intersection of energy, infrastructure, and capital. Our goal is straightforward: to develop commercially viable infrastructure projects that create long-term value for our partners, investors, communities, and the Canadian energy system.

Mission

Our mission is to develop and invest in commercially viable energy and infrastructure projects that strengthen Canada's energy resilience, improve resource efficiency, and support long-term economic growth.

By combining project development expertise, strategic partnerships, innovative technologies, and disciplined capital deployment, BT Energies transforms complex opportunities into financeable and executable infrastructure projects.

Vision

Our vision is to become a trusted Canadian energy and infrastructure development platform, recognized for building high-value projects across waste-to-energy, biomass power generation, battery energy storage, and digital infrastructure.

We aim to create a diversified portfolio of sustainable infrastructure assets that deliver long-term value to investors, partners, communities, and Canada's evolving energy system.

Waste-to-Energy

Ontario & British Columbia · 2 projects in development
RegionsOntario · British Columbia
FeedstockConstruction & demolition waste · Municipal solid waste
TechnologyAdvanced WTE technologies from North America and Asia
Target startLate 2026, subject to permitting and financing

BT Energies is advancing two waste-to-energy projects in Canada, with one project located in Ontario and the other in British Columbia. Both projects are being developed to utilize locally generated construction and demolition waste, together with municipal solid waste, as feedstock for power generation. By converting residual waste into useful energy, these projects are intended to reduce landfill dependence, improve waste diversion, and contribute to a more resilient and circular energy system.

We are working closely with local development partners, government stakeholders, First Nations groups, technology providers, and engineering teams to incorporate advanced waste-to-energy technologies from North America and Asia. Our objective is to develop highly efficient facilities with stringent emissions control, minimal environmental discharge, and strong long-term operating performance. Subject to permitting, financing, and final development milestones, our first projects are currently targeted to begin construction in late 2026.

BT Energies is actively engaged in Canada's biomass power sector, working closely with major timberland owners, sawmills, forest product companies, and local First Nations communities to support reliable and sustainable biomass fuel supply chains. Our team maintains strong industry relationships across the forestry and energy sectors and has a deep understanding of the operational, commercial, and feedstock requirements of biomass power facilities. This allows us to evaluate projects not only from an energy perspective, but also from the critical standpoint of long-term fuel availability, transportation economics, plant efficiency, and regional supply dynamics.

In addition to project development and biomass supply-chain coordination, BT Energies works with biomass power plant owners and strategic partners to identify investment opportunities, structure transactions, and raise capital for acquisitions, expansions, upgrades, and new developments. We closely monitor the Canadian biomass market and selectively pursue projects with strong operating fundamentals, secure feedstock strategies, supportive community relationships, and attractive long-term return potential. Our objective is to help strengthen existing biomass facilities while deploying capital into projects that support renewable power generation, forest-sector sustainability, and regional economic development.

BT Energies is actively developing the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) market across Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba through our partnership with NeoVolta Inc. (NASDAQ: NEOV). We support the distribution and deployment of advanced energy storage solutions for commercial, industrial, institutional, and utility-scale applications. Working with dedicated engineering and installation contractors, BT Energies provides an integrated approach covering system selection, project design, installation coordination, commissioning, and ongoing deployment support.

Our primary customers include mining companies, universities, hospitals, AI data centres, and other energy-intensive facilities where power reliability, peak-demand management, resiliency, and energy cost optimization are increasingly critical. In addition to behind-the-meter applications, we are pursuing opportunities to deploy BESS assets for grid support and ancillary services, including capacity management, demand response, frequency regulation, and other services that enhance grid stability. By combining proven storage technology, local execution capability, project development expertise, and access to capital, BT Energies aims to become a long-term energy storage partner for organizations seeking more flexible, reliable, and economically efficient power solutions.

Phased Deployment

BT Energies is developing a distributed portfolio of high-performance data centres across Northern Ontario, designed to support the rapidly growing infrastructure requirements of artificial intelligence, GPU computing, high-performance computing and cloud applications.

Built for AI. Designed to Scale.

Our distributed development strategy places data-centre capacity closer to available power infrastructure, while allowing capacity to expand incrementally as customer demand grows.

Each site is planned for approximately 1 MW to 5 MW of critical IT capacity — a flexible, repeatable platform that can be deployed across multiple Northern Ontario locations.

Rather than relying on a single large-scale campus, we are building a network of strategically located facilities that scale toward a combined portfolio target of 75 MW.

Modular Infrastructure. Faster Deployment.

Prefabricated modular architecture accelerates deployment, reduces construction complexity and creates standardized infrastructure that can be replicated across multiple locations. Each site is designed to support:

High-density AI and GPU computing
Advanced air and liquid cooling
Scalable power distribution and UPS infrastructure
Backup power and energy storage
Carrier-neutral high-capacity fibre connectivity
Intelligent infrastructure monitoring
Physical and cybersecurity systems
Rapid modular expansion
